The Personal Website of Nathan Finn

In preparation for an upcoming presentation, I am currently doing a lot of reading related to Christian higher education, the integration of faith and learning, the nature of Baptist scholarship, etc. David Dockery has compiled a helpful bibliography for the integration of faith and learning that is available for download.

A group of scholars, including my SEBTS colleague David Hogg, run an excellent website titled Early Church History 101. It is a very helpful resource for pastors, students, and others interested in the first five hundred years of Christian history.

At Between the Times, Bruce Ashford has highlighted a new book by SEBTS Old Testament professor Tracy McKenzie. Dr. McKenzie’s book, a revision of his dissertation, is titled Idolatry in the Pentateuch: An Intertextual Strategy (Pickwick, 2010).

Doug Baker of the Oklahoma Baptist Messenger has written an interesting article on the popular worship band Dutton. Bassist Josh Hicks is a recent graduate of Southeastern’s undergraduate program.
